Befriending Biography while Developing Inner Creative Resources
for Body, Heart, and Soul

- Foundation Year Programs -

Rooted in our rites of passage map, SomaSource®, this is a seven – phased psycho – spiritual educational program for youth and adults. Our work together includes a developmentally based in-depth biographical journey.

Beginning with the body, individuals are given practical tools for reconnecting, re-patterning, and enlivening their natural ways of moving. Recognizing the essential relationship between breath and the body, or one’s inspiration and one’s deeds, the programs then directly work with participants’ feeling life. Simple tools are taught, inviting conscious relationship with one’s emotions and the spirit moving them. Compassionate communication principles and practices are woven into this phase of the work. The healthy expression of the full range of human experience becomes the collective norm and the foundation of all the programs. The work then moves into the work of soul reclamation and expression. There is a natural process of liberation of the creative spirit. Out of this rigorous phase, there is then an organic development into explorations regarding healthy intimacy with self, others, and community. The final two phases of our programs focus on emerging visions. The curriculum initiates an awakening about one’s place in the world and the practical steps needed to actualize one’s vision.

In essence, this rite of passage work invites participants to consciously embrace and transform their struggles while accessing their creative potential. The tools of transformation utilized include movement, voice, writing, theater, prayer, ritual, and dialogue, for a few. They are woven into every facet of our shared work. As a result, enduring pathways for self-exploration, healing, expression, and actualization become opened and integrated.
